How are car fenders made?

I'm wondering what the process is for mass producing car fenders (metal). I assume the plastic fenders are made from injection molding but the metal fenders are what fascinate me. Also does anyone know of a cheap method for reverse engineering a fender other then 3d scanning?

Isn't the driving in Europe very hard since they don't drive automatic cars?

While I'm here in Hungary visiting my grandparents, I've been practicing how to drive here with an English instructor and it is very difficult for me to learn it here since it's not an automatic car. I already know how to drive back in the states and I also have my permit but I just have to practice the parallel parking since I will have to take the road test back home in August which is the just a day after I go back home. So, that Is why I have to practice while I am here since I was not expecting to come here but some things came up. I hate it that over here you have to drive with 3 pedals and the stick shift is very confusing for me to learn. The bad thing is that the instructor doesn't even have patience for me to learn and he expects me to already know all of the rules here. He is making me to learn the different traffic rules here which is totally different than in the states and it's unnecessary for me to learn it since I don't live here. He even started yelling at me and cursing at me because I didn't know how to drive the car well. So, I will never drive a car that isn't automatic cuz it is very hard to learn and I get very confused driving those types of cars. It is weird knowing that I can reverse and steer an automatic car better than car that isn't automatic. Why is that? When I was reversing the car and trying to steer the car making it going straight backwards, the instructor told me that I don't know how to steer the car and I don't know the ways of the car when it goes in reverse. I don't even care what he says about my driving. All I know is that I drive very well with an automatic car and I already drove on the highway and even when it was snowing!!

Why is my '93 Chevy Cav RS shifting into reverse really rough and then going into a normal idle?

If the car is running, or idling, when I put it in reverse, it shifts really hard and the it eases into a normal idle within one second. What could this be? Will a new filter kit help? Or is it the Flywheel or clutch?

Older farmers? Farmall H plow (for soil) and other implements?

I am a bit confused on what plow to get for my farmall h. It has no 3ph, just as it was originally. I understand that you normally need a plow with wheels in this case? I see a farmall plow for sale but it has no wheels. Am I supposed to put the wheels somewhere? I also see pictures of people plowing with other contraptions without wheels. Are wheels essential? Also, does my plow have to be exactly 2 14 inch furrows in order to get the wheel going in the previous lines groove?

I went to a family friends house, and on the back porch, the man had built a contraption with plants and goldfish. he had 3 fish (koi, i think) in a plastic tub, with a few tubes attached to the tub, and it came up to the part where the plants (mainly vegetables) were (they weren't in dirt either, it was a rocky material) and distributed water, then went back down to the fish tank. yes you need to be able to parrell park and no always stop at red lights until its only green.. make sure to know where everything is in the car like head lights and highbeams etc... also when you park make sure you put on the parking break and when your lane changing make sure to check both mirrors and turn around to check your blind spot.. hope this helps :)

I wish I was anorexic?

Hello. I'm fourteen, 5'6, and I weight about 120. I know that sounds like a healthy weight according to the BMI chart but I am disgusted with myself. I have small arms but my stomach looks like pumpkin, no lie.. I have to wear my pants above my waist so my love handles won't show. I also am ashamed of my thighs, I have no gap between my legs and they jiggle. I am VERY healthy. I do not eat junk food, nor do I drink soda, and I don't eat a lot. I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables annd drink water. I exercise, too. I jog/walk everyday on the treadmill and lose 310 calories (so my treadmill says) then I do a couple of toning exercises like lunges and reverse crunches.. I've been worrying about my appearance ever since last year and I've exercised and everything but have no results. My goal weight is 100... honestly my insecurities are ruining my life. I do not go out much because I am ashamed of my body, and I am always depressed. My parents have thought about taking me to see a therapist for my depression. How can I lose the weight? I wish I was anorexic.

Outside my house, there is this loud banging and popping sound and grumbling coming from up in the sky. It's been freaking me out since it started. At first I thought it was gun shots and then I got courage and I looked outside and got a slight glimpse and I saw this this red colorful stuff floating up in the air. I was driving into a convenience store parking lot and was going to park in a parking spot on the other side of a truck when the driver of the truck without signal and without looking reversed going at least 25km/hr into the front of my car as I honked and yelled to tell him he was going to hit me. And then they do an ultrasound at 20 weeks and that is it. Well you certainly have more patience than I do. I would never have a dog in my home that I was afraid of or had to worry about it biting me constantly. I would have the dog checked by a vet to make sure there is not a medical issue. If nothing medical was found, I would would start training and correcting the dog. If that didn't work, the dog would have to go. I love dogs but I would not live in fear of one in my household.

It is good! However it does seem to drag on and it needs to get to the point. You use some words that are not needed. Like where you say the glass was all foggy. You could have left it at foggy or put covered in fog. Not all foggy doesn't seem proper. But it is very good! I give you an 8:)

Transmission problem?

I have a 99 Grand Cherokee, 4.0, 4x4 with a 42RE transmission. It sometimes knocks into reverse. Sometimes it's butter smooth, but more often than not it knocks a bit. Forward is no problem at all. I asked a mechanic about it and he said I needed a brand new transmission with no hesitation. I have only owned one smart phone, but the one I have I like allot. I have the Samsung Focus touch screen phone, with Windows Phone 7. All Windows 7 phones are also full fledged Microsoft Zune HD mp3 players as well. There are many great apps on the phone, and a very cool YouTube app that allows for high definition viewing. There is also a full keyboard for typing, and texting as well. And it offers spell check to. The Samsung Focus has a great build quality, and has good audio quality. And the best part of all, is that I can hear people talking to me on it. (Some phones are a bit to quite for my liking.) And yes, Windows phone 7 has copy, and paste also.

I'm thinking about building a home gym, what are some basic necessities?

Hate not having natural lighting. What about a skylight? I'm assuming your free weights include dumbells and interchangeable weight bars? I would suggest adding a "Total Gym" system for weight resistance training. Very compact. Very affordable. Very low maintenance! My physical therapist has me use one to rehab my shoulder - it's great! You could spend more money and buy the Bow Flex system. You do seem to be missing that aspect. I'd ad resistance bands for toning and a "bosu" ball for balance training with your free weights and turn it over and then do push ups, even do side plank push ups off the elbow/forearm. Include a round medium sized stability ball for core work and shoulder/back work. Essential.

Homemade go kart's front wheel bend in while driving?

For some reason when I get in my go kart and after a foot of driving the front wheels kind of buckle and tilt so that the top is facing in and the bottom is facing out (it also stops me from moving forward). I have a suspension system (consisting of pivoting axles on each individual wheel and then a shock on that). Someone told me that its doing that because it's not supported enough and another person told me that it's because the shocks are not stiff enough (and that I should use a c spanner wrench to push it up more grooves). The other weird thing is that when I pull the kart in reverse the tires go back into the right position.

Why is it that every time I walk I get stared at?

use with action video? get real. first it has to be held at waist level, so unless you are a NCAA starting center you will have the point of view of a 6 year old kid. and *almost* impossible to use the LCD screen on the camera as a viewfinder as dSLR screens don't tilt up. finally no pro uses dSLR for action sports mostly because the codecs don't handle motion worth a darn. get a sony DCR VX 2000 or similar for your skating episodes.

How to heat my beta fish's water?

Is the ice cream truck a kidnapper?

So, lately there have been some ice cream trucks in my neighborhood. The problem is, my neighborhood has about 10 kids, and it only goes in my neighborhood. It doesn't even go in my friends neighborhood, which has about a hundred kids in it. Also, the first ice cream truck that came by was playing music from Legend of Zelda, and it was a shuttle bus (like a shuttle you use to get to the airport). I will TRY and keep this short and brief even though there is a lot to tell. Me and my coworker have worked together for 2 years through the workplace. I won't get into details because this could go into a novel. lol...but a new girl recently started within our group two months ago..we were at a conference about 2 weeks ago and having lunch. Her phone kept going off and she basically had it glued to her the whole time. I actually got a glimpse of her phone as it lit up and it was his name on the phone. Five times during our lunch her phone went off. My blood was boiling at that point and I just couldn't believe it. He is a very outgoing guy, but he flirts with a lot of girls. And yes I know that was actually him because my other coworker at the same conference asked her to text him to ask him a quick related work question, she pulled her phone out and it was the same text she had written seconds before which I did see the last sentence said "hope you have a great day :)" ...I'm not stupid. The day before he told me by text he didn't think having "sex" anymore was a good idea. Saying that he respected me, he's too busy being a dad and a party guy (which I find funny b/c he had no problems before, not saying he has to party, but come on now. And I do understand that being a dad is priority) but just seemed he was beating around the bush and couldn't say I'm not interested. Ok fine. I get it. But it was obvious. Now I'm just angry, because I know that he's been talking to this new girl and just had this gut feeling but after seeing them text back and forth all day at a work conference sickens me to my stomach. I told him that I didn't want to talk to him for awhile and he asked me if I was serious. I said yes. I haven't talked to him since. For two weeks now. At work it's awkward because he walks by my cube real fast. He hasn't been on FB or his IM it's like he's hiding. He did confront me at work when we were alone saying that we both went into this mutually and we knew what we were doing. And that he wants to maintain a civil work relationship and possibly a friendship. That he likes hanging out with me (as he looked away, which I find hard to believe) and I didn't know what to say so I said I don't want to talk right now. He said ok I will leave you alone and he walked away. We haven't talked since. The fact that he broke things off doesn't bother me, I'm mature enough to handle it. But it angers me that I just know that those two have something going on and it was probably going on when I was seeing him. I know we weren't an item, but dam people have feelings. My question is, should I continue to not text him or contact him and stay the distance at work as I have been doing, or just let him know how I feel. I really think he would care less anyways, but who really knows. I have friends that say don't waste your time it's not worth it, and others who say something needs to be said. So far I've said nothing. I just hate that I know and he is probably clueless thinking oh just a bitter chick that is mad I ended things, which isn't the case. And if I do say something I don't feel it's appropriate to tell him oh hey I know your talking to and texting whats her face at work. What do you think I should do? Car issues? Beginning Driver?

Okay so I just got my license and I've had an issue with my truck (2004 Toyota Tacoma), where when I am backing out of a stall it wont let me move. Today I pulled out of a stall, I know I didnt have the parking break set and it was clearly in reverse, but when I eased my foot off the break to back up it went forward instead. What I ended up doing is putting it back into park and turning the car off and then just restarted it and it backed up fine. How to back into a parking spot?

WELL to be honest with you, many businesses discourage backing in parking spaces, many accidents happen when backing into tight spots, particulary if there is a structure or building of some kind directly behind the parking spot. Its faster, much safer all the way around, and backing out of a tight spot into a wide area is a lot safer than trying to back from a wide area into a tight spot.The only advantage is it allows you to leave quicker, but depending on which way your facing, it can be more difficult to load the trunk, or the back of a truck.

Toilet tank does not fill automatically?

After i flush the toilet, the sound of a toilet refilling in the tank is not there. ihear a little dribble, but not the sound of a tank filling. Nor is there any water in the toilet except a small amount. I life the tank lid and I see at the top of the left contraption dribbling water which makes the dribble sound. This is a long gray neck piece coming out of the bottom of the tank with a black float, it has a hose which runs to and connects to a off whitish plastic center piece in the tank which also stems from the bottom of the tank. To get the sound and the water going again I looked underneath where the water comes from the litte connection to the wall behind the toilet and turned it clockwise until no dribble sound nor actual dribble. All water stopped. I then turned it counterclockwise and it started to fill the tank and stopped when the float piece came up high and I again flushed and it flushded well but then the dribble and the clockwise then the counterclockwise all over again to fill the tank. Why won't the tank fill itself. Why must I now go to the wall connection and turn it clock and then counterclock each time. thank you

Okay, so you know when you rub your eyes and your eyesight like slowly comes back starting in the center? Well that keeps happening to me in reverse. My egg drop idea for science!! Is it good?

She's also constantly licking her nose and there's some discharge from the nostrils (it's pretty normal for her in the left nostril but not the right). It might have something to do with her chronic eye condition. She's had it since she was a puppy (she's 5 now) the tear ducts in her left eye don't produce tears so the vet prescribed Optimmune to be put into the eye daily to prevent conjunctivitis. It doesn't always work and today, BOTH of her eyes definitely seem irritated, which isn't normal for her. There's green discharge from the left one and the right one is kinda red. I'm just wondering if I should be worried or not, it's the middle of the night and the vet's not in. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What would cause my truck to stumble or stall 10 seconds after take off?

when i get up in hte morning i crank my truck it rough idles a bit but never shuts off .. then i put it in reverse put it in drive nad take off and about 10 seconds later put put put put like when you car runs out of gas . then somethimes it completely shuts off .. after that i can stop at lights stop signs and it wont do it , it will run perfect . but if i cut it off and let it sit for 15 20 mins after starting it might do it again . Proper way to discipline pet rats?

Hey I have two pet female rats whom I very much love and adore. They come to me when I need them to, they love to crawl on my shoulder, and they are pretty much great rats. I am in a General Psych course in college and we were learning about how rats learn extremely quickly through punishment and reward (aka the Skinner Box. The skinner box is a contraption that psychologists would use and every time the rat did a desirable behavior, food would go into the cage, and every time it produced an undesirable behavior, the floor below it would give the rat a little shock. Something similar to an underground fence collar for dogs.) Well anyway, rats are smart and can learn very quickly through this method. So having this in mind, I would like the proper way to "shock" or discipline my rat in a way that is not hurting them, but just startling them so they know not to do it again. Because of the changing weather, it is warmer out and I have my windows open, and my rats will climb up to the window and climb up the screen. Of course this is very dangerous considering I am on the second story of my building. Right now I try to speak loud and mean and pick them up and tap them on the head a little so they know not to do that. It seems like yelling at them is ineffective, and I am not all too sure about how effective the taps on the head are. My one girl, Elton, it seems to work for her. But my other girl, Lucy, it seems not to be as effective. Does anyone have good advice? Spray bottles? Anything? What should I use just so they know not to repeat that behavior?

I've been DJing for a little while, and am using Virtual DJ DJC version that came with my hercules mp3e2 Turntable controllers and need to figure out a way to get only the vocals from a track so i can put it over another and make actually good remixes, and/or do the reverse so i only get the music part of it. What is this movie / animated art thing?

I'm trying to remember a movie (or actually it may have just been part of an animated series) it was similar to the sort of thing you might find randomly on like PBS. It had a lot of visual effects (I remember seeing it in HD when this was relatively new) and there was a protagonist who I believe was visiting hell, he never spoke (i think it was in first person) At some point I believe he meets the devil and also at some point he is in a place where various people are being tortured. One is under a sort of axe pendulum contraption. Another is being repeatedly put into a vat of acid, and another repeatedly being electrocuted. The last thing I remember is that the protagonist at some point begins to sing an opera (I believe Verdi's La Donne e Mobile) and yea.. can't really remember much it was a few years ago and I haven't been able to find what this was.

reverse is the only non synchronous gear in the trans. the clutch has to completely disconnect power for a smooth shift. if yours is not capable of doing that, you should either adjust the clutch if if is a cable operated type or check the fluid level in the clutch master cylinder if it is a hydraulic type. if it is a hydraulic, id look for a leak also.

Why are my gears grinding?

I have a 2000 Grand Jeep Cherokee, with an automatic transmission, I have noticed recently that the gear grinds only when I am changing from reverse into drive or when I stop and go from drive into park. It never grinds when I am in drive and it is manually changing gears. Just thought I would ask if anyone had some suggestions. Identifying an Owl in my suburban area in Northeastern PA?

There's been an owl living in different trees around my house for years. I know next to nothing about owls but I'm curious about this one. I've only seen it once and it's of a decently big size, and it's a brownish color but I only saw a glimpse of it. It hoots in the daytime. It does not screech. If I could describe it's hoot, it's very low and slow and I find it very sweet. It usually goes" Hooo....Hooo.....HoooOOO" With a higher-sounding end. I'm in Northeastern Pennsylvania. When I took the test, they didn't make me do any parking. My dad taught me how to park all the different ways too.. And on a red light, you can always turn right as long as there is no sign that says "No turn on red". If there is one, don't turn. Make sure you always look left,right,left before going. They will make you back up on a curb as well. You have to back up in a straight line for like 15 seconds. You can't go slow though or they'll make you keep going..

Haha, and he kept asking me random questions until it started up a conversation. I ended up talking to him for 15-20 minutes because no one was waiting in line. I introduced myself, and he did too. That time from then on we would always talk when I'd come in to get starbucks occasionally. He'd always flirt with me and smile at me in a certain way. And trust me, there are TONS of girls who go in there probably just to get a glimpse at him, and he doesn't he pay attention to them. One time, he gave me a grande frappucino when I had asked him for the smallest size. And I said, you charged me for a tall and gave me a grande, and he said yeah, so? and he smiled at me. It's been months now, and I hadn't seen him in a couple weeks. I went in to giant because it was my sister's birthday and I was picking up somethings. I saw he was there, and I stopped by to say hey. I was like, heyy, remember me? Really sarcastically. And he said yeah hey really warmly like he was glad to see me. And I said, I'm just stopping to say hi, I'm here to pick up somethings for my sisters birthday. And he was like, is that why your dressed so nice? And truth be told, I was. But I didn't do it because I thought he was going to be there. I hadn't seen him in weeks. And then he said, is that why your hairs done like that? And I guess most of the times when I had come in my hair was straight cause I used to straighten it a lot. But I have curly wavy hair, and I had naturally blow dried my hair with a diffuser, so it was my normal hair. And I said haha, nahh I just blow dryed it. And he said ohhh. And we talked a little more and I finished up at giant. I went back the next day to pick up some charcoal for my mom because she was cooking on the grill. And he was there again. I really wanted to ask him for his number, but I didn't want to take the chance. So when I went to say hi, after we made small talk I said so since your going off to college, we should keep in touch? Even though I know he isn't leaving for a long time, I needed a way to get his number without asking him. And he said, why do you like to party with a goofy smile, but for some reason I thought he said, why, so I can hook you up with some frappucinos? And I said Noo! And he was like so you don't like to party. And I was like wait what? You asked me if I wanted to keep in touch with you so you could hook me up with some frappucino's and I said no! And he said hahah no I said do you like to party, but that too. He gave me his number and we talked a little bit more than I left. We ended up texting later for two hours! I just want to make sure what you guys think about it, I don't want to get caught up in something bad again.
