Makeshift Flat Panel TV Wall Mount?

I have a full motion TV wall mount. But I can't use it anymore, because my new apartment doesn't allow TV's to be mounted on walls. Any ideas? Is there some kind of contraption I could make from wood to which I could attach the bracket and mount that I already have, instead of going out and buying one of those TV stand/wall mount hybrids thingamabobs?
