Do you know what those contraptions on observation decks are called?

Poor description, I know. But I'm writing an anecdote and would like to know. When I was younger, I spent some time in New York. One day, I was having lunch with my family on a deck across the way from the Statue of Liberty. To see it were those binocular-like things for 25 cents, but I have no idea what they're called. Help me out?
